Every bottle in the Bardstown Origin Series is distilled, aged, and bottled at the Bardstown Bourbon Company distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Each expression is 6 years old and built on a distinct mash bill: the high-rye Bourbon (96 proof), the High Wheat Bourbon (106 proof), the Wheated Bottled-in-Bond (100 proof), and the double-barreled Rye Whiskey (96 proof). Origin Series Mash Bills, Proofs and Tasting Notes
The Origin Series Bourbon uses a 60/36/4 corn-rye-barley mash bill, delivering apricot, orange blossom, cinnamon, and vanilla. The Origin Series High Wheat pushes the wheated mash bill to 39%, producing crème brûlée, ripe apricot, and a full-bodied spiced finish at 106 proof. The Wheated Bottled-in-Bond meets strict federal bottled-in-bond standards with a 68/20/12 mash bill and stone fruit, toffee, and cocoa character. The Origin Series Rye starts with a 95% rye mash bill aged six years in American white oak, then finishes in a custom cherry wood and oak ‘zebra’ barrel for up to six months.
